Welcome to the SFPD Investigations web pages. The Investigations Division is comprised of three separate units, the Major Crimes Unit, the Special Victims Unit, and the Narcotics/Vice Unit. This centralized division of investigative resources works closely with the ten district Station Investigations Teams in the investigation of criminal activity. It is our collective goal to ensure the safety of the residents of, and visitors to our city, by making San Francisco the safest big city in the country.
