SAN FRANCISCO POLICE INVOLVED IN OFFICER-INVOLVED
BAYVIEW SHOOTING SATURDAY
San Francisco Police Officers were involved in a shooting incident tonight, Saturday August 28, near Reardon and Kiska at approximately 9:40 P.M. Bayview plainclothes officers were responding to the area of Reardon and Kiska in response to a call of suspicious person with a gun in the area. The plainclothes officers were on foot walking in and about the Public Housing Development when they came upon suspects that pointed a gun and fired on the officers. The officers identified themselves as Police Officers, and one of the officers returned fire. The officers were not hit. In addition there is no indication that officer struck any of the suspects.

The incident being investigated by the San Francisco Police Department’s Gang Task Force and Homicide units. The Internal Affairs Division is conducting an Administrative investigation.
