FEDERAL AGENT A VICTIM OF ROBBERY ATTEMPT
Thursday, August 5, 2010, San Francisco Police responded to the scene of an
attempted robbery in the 100 block of Marlin
arrived on scene and made contact with the victim, a federal agent with the Internal
Revenue Service. The agent was accosted
by three suspects, armed with a shotgun, who attempted to rob her. Fearing for her life, the agent fired at the
suspects, striking two. The suspects
fled and were later apprehended.
suspect was shot in the torso and transported to San Francisco General Hospital
for treatment. The other suspect was
shot in the leg. All three suspects will
be booked for robbery.
incident remains under investigation by the San Francisco Police Department and
the Office of the District Attorney. The Internal Revenue Criminal Division
will be conducting an independent investigation.
