NARRATIVE:

Between 04/09/10, 2100 hours and 04/10/10, 0900 hours; suspect(s) unknown entered through an unsecured side window of the San Francisco Botanical Garden Society; Helen Crocker Russell Library of Horticulture located at 1199 9th avenue in Golden Gate Park. The suspect(s) took 41 assorted botanical prints ranging from $75.00 to $1,500.00; approximate value of loss; $16,000.00. Thirty eight of the prints were by “Thomas P. Rohlen” and 3 prints were by “Alice B. Chitterden.” The Botanical Society provided 6 color photocopies of some of the missing prints;

photo #3: T. Rohlen original watercolor, “Hand Flower Tree” (Cbirantbodendron Pentadactylon), in wooden frame with white matting, approximate size; 22” x 17” value; $1,350.00

photo #6: A. Chittenden, original oil on paper, “Western Dogwood” in gold colored frame with green matting, approximate size 19.5” x 26” value; $1,200.00
