Subject: SAN FRANCISCO POLICE SERVE ARREST WARRANT ON SUSPECT IN 1976 MASSACHUSETTS HOMICIDE
On March 8, 2010, at approximately 10:45 A.M., San Francisco police served an arrest warrant on a suspect in connection with the homicide of Eleanor Wadsworth that occurred in Gloucester, Massachusetts, on December 2, 1976. Taken into custody was Norman Pike, also known as Daniel Franklin, 52. He was arrested without incident at his apartment on the 1400 block of 48th Avenue. He had been living in San Francisco since the late 1970s.
San Francisco Homicide inspectors with the assistance of SFPD Criminal Investigations Unit (CIU) personnel, worked with the Gloucester police cold case unit in the preparation of the arrest warrant. Pike remains in custody in San Francisco, awaiting extradition.
