2. Approval of Consent Calendar (ACTION ITEM)

      - Request of Captain Denis O’Leary for approval to accept a $50.00 gift certificate

to Toast Restaurant from Sheriff Robert T. Doyle, Marin County Sheriff’s Office

      - Request of the Chief of Police to accept a donation of a 10-year old Paint/quarter horse gelding from Mr. Von D. Vaugh, valued at $7,500.00, for use of the Police Mounted Unit

      (Members of the public may address the Police Commission for a time period determined by the Chair on

items that are within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Commission but do not appear on the agenda.

Speakers shall address their remarks to the Commission as a whole and not to individual Commissioners or

Department personnel. Under Police Commission Rules of Order, during Public Comment, Commissioners are

not to enter into debate or discussion with speakers.)

                 - Assignment of disciplinary charges filed in Disciplinary Case No. ALW C09-186, to an individual Commissioner for the taking of evidence on a date to be determined by the Commissioner

      b. Scheduling of items identified for consideration at future Commission meetings

6. Discussion and possible action to approve the request of the Chief of Police to apply for retroactively, accept and expend funds from the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) to implement the ASobriety Checkpoint Mini-grant Program@ (ACTION ITEM)

7. Discussion and possible action to take off calendar indefinitely the disciplinary charges filed in Case No. RMW C08-030. Member involved retired from the Department, effective September 16, 2009. Said disciplinary charges will be placed back on calendar should said member be within the jurisdiction of the Police Commission in the future (ACTION ITEM)

8. Discussion and possible action to take off calendar indefinitely the disciplinary charges

filed in Case No. ALW C08-048. Member involved will retire from the Department,

effective December 5, 2009. Said disciplinary charges will be placed back on calendar

should said member be within the jurisdiction of the Police Commission in the future

9. Discussion and possible action to accept or reject Stipulated Disposition of disciplinary charges filed against Patrol Special Officer Hanley Chan in Case Nos. ALW C08-091, JWA C09-039, ALW C09-070, ALW C09-120, ALW C09-152, ALW C09-192, ALW C09-193, & ALW C09-221 (ACTION ITEM)
