San Francisco Police Arrest Two Homicide Suspects In Mission Triple Shooting
San Francisco police arrested two suspects in a triple shooting incident that occurred on September 20, 2009 at 24th and Potrero Ave.
At approximately 4:00 P.M., officers responded to 24th and Potrero on reports of gun shots being fired in the area of 24th and Potrero Ave. When officers arrived on scene, they found three shooting victims and a very large crime scene. Paramedics arrived on scene and pronounced one victim dead. The two other shooting victims were transported to
San Francisco General Hospital, where a second shooting victim was pronounced dead. The third shooting victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Gang Task Force Officers and Mission Station Plain Clothes Officers were in the area at the time of the shooting. When a description of the shooting suspects was put out by dispatch, Gang Task Force Officers and Mission Station Plain Clothes Officers were able to immediately identify the possible suspects. Officers were advised of where the suspects lived and responded to this address, which was in close proximity to where the original incident occurred. Officers were able to make contact with the suspects without further incident, at which point they were detained within ten minutes of the shooting and later arrested.
Due to the fact that 24th and Potrero Ave is a very busy intersection, and the time of day that these homicides occurred, we are asking for the public’s assistance.
